As a community mediation center, CMC is well grounded in mediating disputes between neighbors. While the outcome of mediation  is determined by the parties, CMC helps parties move from confused and upset to clear and more confident.  During mediation CMC works with persons to consider things from the perspective of others. These activities helps parties improve the way in which they relate, and can ease the tension or in many cases resolve the conflict.
