Life was so sad for me.

I thought I would lose it all.

Financial hardship kills people.

So insecure, hopeless from anxiety about becoming homeless –

Two months behind in my rent meant Eviction

No help from family nor friends. They had financial problems of their own.

When I came to see Ms. Walton

So ashamed of my circumstances I humbly called out to God for help.

Please God

I cried.

He heard

my cry.

Where God do I find help out here?

My eviction notice and food vouchers was in my mail box.

I held out my head and thanked God – at least I could eat.

I went to the market. As I was shopping a young lady was going from one customer to another and she finally got to me – "Hey lady I'll give you food stamps for money , I need money to pay my rent"

For some reason I started to cry – I informed her that I had stamps too and that I was going to be evicted for lack of money to pay my own rent – I told her keep her stamps and I gave her ten dollars.

Thanks she said, and started to walk away but then she stopped and came back to me “Lady you are a good citizen and I know a place that can help you"

Thank you mediation for pouring out a blessing

The miracle by the Grace of God

I called the number given to me by the young woman – I called and the mediation people were so polite – No put downs, no why's, no runarounds, no hang-ups, or put on holds, no shames on me.

Just told me to bring the necessary papers.

The rest is history.
