CMC Trainings Highly Rated
Cleveland Mediation Center has been offering mediation training to community members since its inception. CMC trains community members in Basic, Advanced, Divorce, and Transformative Mediation throughout the year. These trainings range from 20-40 hours and combine both theoretical knowledge and practice in mediation, conflict resolution, communication, and listening skills.
Attendees in 2009 given high ratings to these trainings. In Advanced Mediation Training this past January, 100% of attendees rated the presenter's knowledge and ability to present knowledge as excellent or very good. In addition, 100% of attendees would recommend this training to others and would attend another CMC training.
The Basic Mediation Trainings in February and April had equally high ratings. 100% of attendees rated the presenter's knowlege as excellent or very good. 100% also rated the training overall as excellent or very good and would recommend the training to others.
Attendees commented on the impact the trainings had on them, stating the following: "This workshop was very helpful in teaching basic mediation skills. Furthmore, I will be attending future trainings." "[This training] Has improved my listening skills", and "[This training] Has improved my ability to communicate constructively with others."
Attendees also commented on the presenters. Attendees said
"Ed is very knowledgeable and presents information in a teachable and understandable way," "[Ed] really knows his stuff, great teacher," and "Very well presented, their experience in this business shows."

Dine at Johnny Mango to benefit Cuyahoga Community Land Trust.
Join us between 11AM-11PM on Monday, May 11th, 2009 at Johnny Mango and support the Cuyahoga Community Land Trust.
The Cuyahoga Community Land Trust is a non-profit organization that develops permanently affordable homes in Cleveland. The Land Trust makes homeownership a reality for low- and moderate-income families by lowering the price of quality homes.
Johnny Mango in Ohio City will donate 20% of supporters' food bill to the Cuyahoga Community Land Trust for take-out, lunch, and dinner. All drinks and food items are included.
Cuyahoga Community Land Trust supporters must present the fundraiser flyer (link to flyer on IRTF's website is below) to their server for IRTF to get the donation.

Group Facilitation
Cleveland Mediation Center provides meeting faciliation to a variety of groups in the community. Currently, senior staff are helping with such areas as forming a mission statement for a local committee and resolving conflict through assessment and facilitated dialogue for an area company.
