CMC has been called upon to assist the Ohio City/Near West Side Community to address a number of communitywide concerns, including the usages of a park, a zoning variance for a shelter, land and development issues and others. Senior staffs led a group of volunteers and designed the best intervention with the identified stakeholders. Past efforts have included small focus group discussions, survey, facilitated large group dialogue, interpersonal mediations and large group mediations. While not a central focus of the organization CMC will respond to one or two request for assistance a year.

Similarly, CMC has responded to requests to provide conflict resolution to organizations to address an array of conflicts which including, organizational culture, diversity, and communications. This elective approach begins with an assessment phase and intervention strategies ranging from:
- Mediation between individuals
- Large group mediation
- Facilitated negotiations
- Dialogue sessions
- Conflict resolution, communication and cultural awareness training
